Partnership Announcement: Misfits Gaming

Softgiving and Misfits Gaming Group partner for online fundraising events.

MISFITS GAMING GROUP PARTNERS WITH SOFTGIVING FOR MULTIPLE ONLINE FUNDRAISING EVENTS THROUGHOUT 2020

Misfits Gaming Group (MGG) has partnered with Softgiving, the innovative fundraising platform, to host a variety of online charity streams throughout 2020. Now, more than ever, gaming communities are coming together to give back and, with the help of Softgiving, pros and influencers across the entire Misfits Gaming Group organization will take part in fundraising streams and events to give back to different charities throughout the year.

The first MGG charity event will take place April 16-19, with proceeds going to Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Patients battling blood cancer, sickle cell disease and inherited immune disorders rely on Gift of Life to provide lifesaving stem cell and bone marrow transplants at a time when every minute matters. During the COVID-19 crisis, Gift of Life has worked to ensure patients continue to receive life-saving transplants amid challenges such as closed public spaces, travel restrictions and limited airline flights. MGG will be raising money to help ensure that the organization can continue to provide its urgently needed services.

The next fundraising event will be in May, and MGG already has a COVID-19 charity partner lined up to give back to the global efforts fighting the pandemic. More details will be announced soon via MGG social platforms.

“Esports has built an incredible community around fundraising, especially during this difficult time, and we’re excited to partner with Softgiving to increase our fundraising capacity across all our teams,” said Ben Spoont, CEO and Co-Founder of Misfits Gaming Group. “We’re doubling down on our efforts to give back by running a variety of charity streams throughout the year and we’re excited to kick things off with Gift of Life.”

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Misfits Gaming Group to help support their efforts to raise funds for causes important to them,” said Matt Pfaltzgraf, Founder and CEO of Softgiving. “The streaming community has already proven how passionate they are about helping so many charities during these challenging times. We’re excited to utilize our innovative fundraising tools to bring a positive impact to these organizations.”

Softgiving provides fundraising expertise and innovative tools to make online fundraising fun and easy. Influencers of any size can sign up and share their campaign across all social platforms with straightforward and simple integration.
