World Vision Selects Softgiving as New Innovative Donor Fundraising Solution

One of the world’s largest nonprofits embraces “round-up” donation model

ATLANTA, August 8, 2018 World Vision, a global Christian humanitarian organization based in Federal Way, Wash., selects Softgiving™, an Atlanta-based financial technology company serving nonprofits, to engage current donors and reach new ones through an innovative, passive, recurring giving option.

World Vision is implementing Change by SoftgivingTM, a donation solution that enables donors to link debit or credit cards. U.S. donor purchases are automatically rounded up to the nearest dollar and the spare change is sent to the nonprofit in the form of a charitable contribution. Donors can customize their contributions, including setting a monthly cap.

“As an international organization, we recognize that donor behavior is changing quickly and we want to ensure anyone who wishes to give has the opportunity to do so,” said Karen Sendelback, National Director of Partner Engagement at World Vision. “We’re excited to be on this path with Softgiving and to see what we’ll accomplish to help so many children and families in need.”

Matt Pfaltzgraf, CEO and Founder of Softgiving, said, “Our partnership with World Vision demonstrates even the largest, most successful nonprofits are recognizing the need to provide innovative solutions to the next generation of donors. We are absolutely thrilled to support World Vision in its efforts to augment its existing fundraising approach without disrupting what works well for them today.”
